Watching Kittens Play

What a joy it is to open the door and find two kittens playing on the porch.

They tumble and scamper and just look like they are having such a good time. I think what I love most is when then jump straight up in the air and land in the same place.

They run from me (they are not mine), but, that is okay. I know they will stay away from those who might hurt them.

When they are asleep they look like little balls of gold and white.

There are three others down the drive. Two of them are gold and white and the other is black and white.

I see even less of them. When they see me coming, they scamper under anything they can find.

I wish I could make friends with them all. However, since they are wild, I guess it is best if they stay vigilant of humans and other creatures that might harm them.

So, I will continue to just observe them as they play. Sometimes, I wonder why they don't hurt each other. They play so rough.

Too soon they will be grown. Anyone want a kitten?
